INHALE.. EXHALE…

This was the cake of Sweet during her birthday last January 27. This cake truly is yummy. It’s sans-rival on the inside and chocolaty and butter-creamy outside.. yum yum..

On our way home after church this morning, the jeepney that we boarded on had a minor yet really great unfortunate incident. A passenger’s cellular phone was snatched when a hobo flagged our jeepney at the curb of Macanhan. I was sitting at the front seat and I heard that the hobo was asking money from the driver. Then he whispered something and the driver said NO! Assuming, he said NO for money being asked by the hobo, or it could be for something else.

Anyway, as we went ahead, unknown to us is that a passenger was shocked when a fellow passenger that looked more like a rugby boy cum drunk addict came down hurriedly and snatched her phone like it’s a no big deal and walked away. The driver then made a scene and turned around and chased the thieves who fled towards Carmen Hill via a narrow path leading up the hill. We saw policemen on single motor by twos also chasing the thieves. Apparently, we were not the first and the only jeepney victims..

We made another turn around and this time, going back right on track towards our way to Balulang. We were all busy chattering about the scene earlier and the driver assured the victim that he will be able to give back the cellphone at 3pm. So I asked him how sure he was that the item will be recovered. And he said it happened before.

Hmmm. Could it be that there is foul play here? whew.. It could be that the snatcher, the driver and the police could be all in this mess together.. Just like in the movies.. tsk tsk tsk.. But, let’s just give them the benefit of a doubt.. I am simply thinking loudly here…
